1️⃣ What Changes in RL Load?
- Current does NOT become zero instantly
- Conduction extends beyond π
- Extinction angle β appears
β > π due to inductive energy storage
2️⃣ Conduction Interval
Conduction from α → β
- β depends on L value
- L large → conduction longer
3️⃣ Average Output Voltage
Vavg = (2Vm / π) cos α (for continuous conduction)
If conduction becomes discontinuous → equation changes.
